Desde a primeira década do século XX, o desenvolvimento dos aviões levou a uma revolução da arte da guerra. Logo surgiu o desejo de representar os combates, que não podiam ser fo-tografados. Pintores, principalmente europeus e norte-americanos, foram então requisitados para retratar essas cenas.Alguns nomes, como Richard Taylor, Robert Taylor, Stephen Brown, Philip West e Nicholas Trudgian, se consagraram nessa especialidade, conhecida como Aviation Art, que passou tam-bém a incluir imagens da aviação civil, dando origem a artistas e admiradores desse tipo de trabalho. Apaixonado pela aviação desde a infância, o artista E. J . Victorello decidiu se especializar no tema, tendo como diferencial a produção de obras sobre aeronaves civis e militares produzi-das no Brasil, que apresenta uma indústria aero-náutica de crescente importância.A forma como E.J. Victorello mostra os aviões revela um esmerado processo técnico, perceptível nas imagens mais escuras e naque-las que ocorrem, ao entardecer ou anoitecer, que permite um maior jogo de luzes ao trabalhar os fundos das telas, nas diversas tonalidades dos céus.

Since the first decade of the 20th century, the development of airplanes has led to a revolution in the art of war. Soon the desire arose to represent the combats, which could not be photographed. Painters, mainly Europeans and North Americans, were then asked to portray these scenes. Some names, such as Richard Taylor, Robert Taylor, Stephen Brown, Philip West and Nicholas Trudgian, established themselves in this specialty, known as Aviation Art, which has also passed It also includes images from civil aviation, giving rise to artists and admirers of this type of work. Passionate about aviation since childhood, the artist E. J. Victorello decided to specialize in the theme, having as a differential the production of works on civil and military aircraft produced in Brazil, which presents an aero-nautical industry of increasing importance. The way EJ Victorello shows airplanes reveals a painstaking technical process, perceptible in the darker images and in those that occur, at dusk or dusk, which allows a greater play of lights when working the backgrounds of the screens, in the different shades of the skies.

Projeto Fevereiro Laranja (128): “Nude I”, de Eduardo J. Victorello

Desde 2020, o Estado de São Paulo tem um mês de ações dedicadas ao diagnóstico precoce da leucemia e à conscientização sobre a doação de medula óssea. É o Fevereiro Laranja. Por isso, neste mês faremos um post por artista com obras que privilegiam essa cor.

“Nude I”, realizado com tinta guache por Eduardo J. Victorello, apresenta domínio técnico e sensibilidade no trato de um dos temas mais tradicionais da arte: o nu feminino. A imagem é ainda mais significativa quando alguns pensam que tudo já foi dito na pintura e que o que resta seria apenas uma repetição. Cada artista tem o seu percurso, e a obra que acompanha este post leva a um refletir sobre como é possível lançar sempre novos olhares sobre qualquer assunto. A composição cromática que inclui o fundo do trabalho e o rosto e o corpo da imagem retratada permite viajar pelas possibilidades que o artista oferece ao observador. A sensualidade não explícita leva a pintura a caminhar pelas veredas do desejo, em que o escondido é o mistério a ser desvendado. A arte, quando atinge esses momentos, se valoriza enquanto legítima expressão humana.

Orange February Project (128): “Nude I”, de Eduardo J. Victorello

Since 2020, the State of São Paulo has had a month of actions dedicated to the early diagnosis of leukemia and to raising awareness about bone marrow donation. It's February Orange. Therefore, this month we will make a post per artist with works that privilege this color.

“Nude I”, made with gouache paint by Eduardo J. Victorello, presents technical mastery and sensitivity in dealing with one of the most traditional themes of art: the female nude. The image is even more significant when some think that everything has already been said in the painting and that what remains is just a repetition. Each artist has his own path, and the work that accompanies this post leads to a reflection on how it is possible to always take a new look on any subject. The chromatic composition that includes the background of the work and the face and body of the portrayed image allows to travel through the possibilities that the artist offers to the observer. The unexplained sensuality leads the painting to walk along the paths of desire, in which the hidden is the mystery to be unveiled. When art reaches these moments, it is valued as a legitimate human expression.

A obra “Ghost Nude II”, de Fernanda Victorello e Eduardo J. Victorello, realizada com técnica mista, em um processo que envolve desenvolvimento analógico com acabamento e finalização digital, é um convite a pensar o que somos. O conceito de nudez está geralmente associado a dois termos: a sensualidade ou a fragilidade. Na imagem que acompanha este post, o desafio que se coloca ao observador é justamente o de procurar a imagem e tentar identificá-la e senti-la. Esse é o exercício cotidiano que realizamos continuamente: o entendimento de nós mesmos e do outro. O processo não é simples. Do mesmo modo, a obra nos apresenta uma representação humana que nos leva a pensar como somos frágeis embora queiramos parecer fortes. A criação e a leitura de imag ens podem auxiliar nesse processo de melhor conhecer o que somos e o que queremos ser.

The work “Ghost Nude II”, by Fernanda Victorello and Eduardo J. Victorello, made with mixed technique, in a process that involves analog development with digital finishing, is an invitation to think about who we are. The concept of nudity is generally associated with two terms: sensuality or fragility. In the image that accompanies this post, the challenge for the viewer is precisely to look for the image and try to identify and feel it. This is the daily exercise that we continually carry out: understanding ourselves and the other. The process is not simple. Likewise, the work presents us with a human representation that makes us think how fragile we are even though we want to appear strong. The creation and reading of images can help in this process of getting to know better who we are and what we want to be.
